Taser International has created the next generation in personal
protection. The TASER C2 utilizes technology to maximize public safety and
minimize the potential for misuse. The TASER C2 cartridge has the unique
Anti-Felon Identification tags (AFID) that disperse after a TASER Cartridge is
deployed, helping the police to recognize the owner of the TASER product, which
has proved successful in deterring criminal use in the past 13 years. TASER C2
has a new consumer-friendly design eliminating many high-end professional
features such as dataport management, digital displays, and the TASER CAM interface,
enabling the TASER C2 to be available at a lower cost. With built in
laser sighting and LED flashlight, instantaneous and accurate aiming are a
breeze. If you do miss, the TASER C2 can still be used as a traditional
contact type stun gun.
Utilizing the same technology as proven law enforcement TASER models,
the C2 has incredible take down power. The TASER C2 is
a self-defense electronic control device. Electronic Control Devices
(ECDs) use propelled wires or direct contact to conduct energy to affect the
sensory and motor functions of the nervous system. The TASER C2 uses a
replaceable cartridge, containing compressed nitrogen, to deploy two small
probes that are attached to the TASER C2 by insulated conductive wires with a
maximum length of 15 feet (4.5 meters). The TASER C2 transmits 50,000 volt
electrical pulses along the wires and into the body affecting the sensory and
motor functions of the peripheral nervous system. The energy can penetrate up
to two cumulative inches of clothing. In police studies, TASER energy
weapons have a higher instant incapacitation rate than a 9mm handgun.
